Oct. 28. If anything in other people displeases you, think, “What does it matter? There will always be something wrong in this world. Perhaps the only thing I can do about it is rid myself of my own displeasure.” What displeases us about others, often, is something we have to overcome in ourselves. Learn to accept things as they are. Change them if you can, without displeasure or anger, but realize that there is too much wrong in the world for you really to improve it very much. Your own essential need will be simply to learn not to be affected.
